The Applied Computing Center features 34 Windows-based computers and 4 iMac regular and dual core computers. 4 scanners are also available for both PC and Mac machines. All computers are networked and use the University's high speed internet connection
Printing, black and white as well as laser color, is available for a reasonable rate. Visitors must use either a Florida Tech ID card or a Library DART card for printing transactions. Collating, stapling, and duplexing are available. In addition to an integrated computing environment, the lab also offers computers for digital video processing with both USB and IEE 1394 (Firewire) ports. A lounge is available with a vending machine for the study weary. Additionally, the center has work table space and accommodations for students working in groups or projects. |
