Application for Graduate Assistantship Form

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications for Graduate Assistantships are accepted throughout the year. However, most assistantship offers are made for appointments beginning in the Fall Semester. To be assured of consideration for these assistantships, applications and all supporting materials must be received no later than February 1. Applications and/or supporting materials received after this date will be considered as openings become available. Missing the February 1 deadline will likely reduce your likelihood of receiving an award.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: Test of Spoken English (TSE) score and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Score
Note: A TSE score of at least 45 and a TOEFL score of at least 600 are required before a Teaching Assistantship will be awarded to anyone whose native language is not English.This application will not be processed without these two examinations. Please be sure to arrange for official scores to be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions at Florida Tech.

REFERENCES: (Please list on the Admissions Application the names and addresses of persons to whom you have given reference forms. Each should be well acquainted with your educational background, intellectual abilities, and personal character. Faculty whom you have worked under or taken courses from at the college(s) you previously attended are almost always the most useful references. Three letters of reference should be received by the deadline date, February 1, if the Application for Graduate Appointment is to be considered for the Fall Semester.

A STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES of approximately 300 words concerning your past activities in your proposed or allied fields of study, along with your plans for graduate study and a professional career, must be submitted with this application. Questions regarding assistantships should be addressed to the head of the academic department or program.
