- Gladwyn Kurian, MBA '90: Most Memorable Person I would like to recognize the late Dean John Carkeet, Dean of The School of Aeronautics. He picked me as a Graduate Adjunct Lecturer for the Aeronautics School and gave me my first teaching assignments. That was an opportunity that changed the course of my educational opportunities at FIT. It also gave me the most rewarding experience in teaching. He was always very kind hearted and understanding. The students and faculty all loved him.

- Glenn P Clinger III, BS '91, MS '03: I wanted to send a note about something that happened to me when I was at Florida Tech. I received my undergrad degree in 1991. During my 2nd year, I took a class in intermodal logistics. My professor, Mr. McCreary was also my advisor. About 4 weeks into the quarter, he told me he needed to see me in his office after class. Immediately, I thought that I must have done terrible on the first exam. When I reported to his office, he told me that he wanted to give me a gift. Then, he handed me a book entitled, "Intermodal Logistics". I looked at the book thinking it was remedial work of some kind. Then he said, "I want you to consider the logistics field for your career." Coming from a retired military logistics Colonel, I was impressed, but I was an aviation major and really never thought much about it. I had professor McCreary for several more classes in logistics before my graduation. It turned out that was the field I ended up in for my career after all. I earned a Masters in Logistics Management in 2003 from Florida Tech. After 15 years in the logistics industry working for large corporations, I opened my own business Global Intermodal Logistics. If not for Mr. McCreary, I probably would have never thought of giving the logistics field a try. I guess he saw some potential in me that I could not see. I often think about that encounter and I still have that book somewhere in my house. If he had not taken the time to encourage me I probably would not be where I am today. Thanks Mac.
- Kellie Conn , BS '94: Dr. Jeff Rain was the reason I went to FIT. He recruited me and seemed so fun, and he was! He set up a great program, including outside experts to come in for Saturday workshops. I was very well-prepared to do selection, job analysis, employment law compliance and training design after graduation.
- I would never have gotten through the statistics course sequence if it wasn't for Dr. Art Gutman. And I still use his textbook (the updated version now) on EEO Law.
