Memories
Aurelien Andre, Software Development, '01: I really enjoyed the classes of Jay Kovats. This professor was such a great motivator for the students, that he was one of my favorites. When we did not understand something, he took the time to explain it to us in various ways, and always with humor. Thank you again Mr Kovats! I hope today's FIT students enjoy your teachings as much as I did!

Tani Kickham, '04: Dr. William Picard had an enthusiasm for teaching that is unmatched. I took every class that he offered even when it did not quite relate to my program (New Urbanization and Defensible Space). I knew that there was at least one class in my schedule that would open my mind a little more. Even in classes with a majority of narrow-minded students, he still taught, showed the other perspective, and told his stories. His stories were always interesting and memorable. I still recount them in discussions to this day. He illustrated his point like no one could, with a dry sense of humor that could make anyone crack a smile. I felt like I earned my grades in his classes. I was not just doing the work, I was learning so much more. I was learning how to express my opinions and thoughts about topics that were important to me, and seemed important to him. He was a great man and a great teacher. He seemed to have lived a thousand lives in his one short life.
Jolene King, '03: Florida Tech's Caribbean Students Association was a great way to meet with fellow Caribbean students and share similar cultural experiences. I especially enjoyed being a part of CSA Dancers, great exercise and stress relief.
