The Carbone Clinic in New York is expanding to Dubai under the leadership and direction of Dr. Vincent J. Carbone. The mission of the Carbone Clinic-Dubai is to provide evidence-based behavior analytic services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Carbone Clinic-Dubai provides direct one-on-one services in both a center-based program and in the homes of children served.

The Carbone Clinic-Dubai is looking for qualified BCaBAs to provide support and supervision to Midlevel and Junior Behavior Therapists. This is an excellent opportunity to receive training from Dr. Carbone and his colleagues in the application of behavior analytic principle and procedures to children with autism. In addition, the organizational structure of the Carbone Clinic-Dubai offers potential promotional opportunities throughout the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capable of providing instruction to any learner and demonstrating appropriate instructional methods as part of the supervisory role
  • Oversee and facilitate the general safety of individual learners, the teaching environment, and instructional activities
  • Adhering to and maintaining integrity of the Carbone Clinic’s mission statement
  • Supervise the daily activities of therapists
  • Assist in the development of instructional goals, objectives, and lesson plans
  • Observing and assisting therapists to implement teaching procedures
  • Assisting therapists in making data-based decisions
  • Assisting with on-the-spot management of problem behavior
  • Assisting therapists to conduct assessment and progress updates
  • Ensure and maintain proper execution of teaching procedures by therapists through regularly scheduled competency evaluations
  • Oversee day-to-day management of learners’ programs
  • Complete monthly book audits with honesty, integrity, and efficiency
  • Coordinate the scheduling of important assessment and treatment meetings
  • Review and provide feedback on initial drafts of assessment and progress reports

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the principles and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Knowledge of Skinner’s analysis of Verbal Behavior
  • Experience as a teacher or other special education-related position
  • Effective leadership skills in groups settings
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
  • Organization

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • English required
  • Bilingual English/Arabic preferred but not required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
  • Prior experience working with persons with autism/related developmental disabilities
  • 2-year commitment preferred
