Little Star Center is a non-profit private school providing comprehensive, affordable, individual education and behavioral services for children who struggle with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental delays.
Little Star Center places a strong emphasis on academics, behavior, and communication. These skills are taught using Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. We utilize individual instruction, group instruction, and social skills training. Our ultimate goal is to prepare children with Autism and other developmental delays for a typical educational setting through intense and small group sessions.
Position Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Consultant
Requirements:
- 2-3 days per week on site supervision from 9AM-2PM
- Creation and maintenance of behavior reduction plans (along with lead teacher)
- Create and provide 5 hour training days to staff members 3-4 days per school year
- Provide ongoing supervision to staff members
- Attend occasional parent meetings
- Ongoing communication with staff
- Training and guiding staff in the implementation of acquisition and behavior reduction programs
- Documentation must be timely
- Thorough completion of evaluation reports, progress notes, and correspondence
- Designing and managing data collection systems
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related field
- Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (current and must maintain certification)
- 2-3 years working with children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental delays
- Knowledge/Experience with Verbal Behavior programs
- Familiarity with ABLLS-R and VB-MAPP assessments
- Knowledge of behavior reduction and skill acquisition programs
- Experience with mild to severely aggressive children with Autism and other developmental delays
- PCM Level 2 Practitioner preferred
- At least 1 year experience supervising employees directly
Pay/Benefits:
- Pay to be reflective of experience, education, and credentials. ($45-$60/per hour)
