Program Director
Nationally recognized behavior analysis professor and lecturer, Jose Martinez-Diaz, Ph.D., BCBA, associate professor and chair, Behavior Analysis Graduate Programs, Florida Institute of Technology, is the ABA Program Director.
Dr. Martinez-Diaz is a member of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and is an officer of their board of directors. He has received many awards for his contributions to the field. In 1989, Dr. Martinez-Diaz began conducting workshops in numerous states, preparing individuals for certification in behavior analysis. His Mock Behavior Analyst Examination™ is administered by several universities as part of their curriculum.
Dr. Martinez-Diaz’s main interests are professional and legal issues, practitioner training and supervision, management and administration, conceptual and philosophical issues, verbal behavior, and the role of motivating operations in behavioral assessment and treatment. He is also CEO of ABA Technologies, Inc.
Having worked as an ABA practitioner and administrator since the 1970s, Dr. Martinez-Diaz is highly experienced in focusing on people with diagnoses of autism spectrum disorders, mental retardation, disruptive behavior disorders, schizophrenia and traumatic brain injury. He completed his doctorate at West Virginia University.
