Academic Boot Camp!

Facilitators: Tera Browning and Robin Cheney

All students have academic goals, but sometimes we don’t make the grade. Come learn new ways to be successful in academia, after all, sometimes it’s not our abilities that hold us back but our motivation. More often, it comes down to students being unaware of effective strategies or how to find the ones that work best for them. Join us for a discussion on how to improve your grades and beef up your GPA! We will talk about scholastic behaviors, attitudinal factors, the significance of attendance, and physical and emotional health, as well as share with you the resources to expand your awareness of academic tools to ultimately lead to greater academic success! Plus, you have the chance to win some great prizes!

Halloween is right around the corner, are you still looking for a Romeo for your Juliet? Most people know whether or not they want to pursue a relationship with someone within the first three seconds of meeting them…we’re giving you 5-8 minutes! After receiving some helpful tips, participants will go on a series of short dates in order to meet as many new people as they can. Afterwards, participants will let the event coordinators know who they are interested in getting to know better. We received great feedback from a similar event which was held last Spring, don’t be shy and you won’t regret it! Pre-register at CAPS@fit.edu to reserve your spot.
