25 Week Club

We have had a very successful few years here at Catholic Campus Ministry. Two of our students are about to enter the seminary. A group of students recently attended the Campus Ministry Leadership Institute in Philadelphia. We have consistently sent proportionately more students to the diocesan collegiate retreat than any other campus in the diocese. Our facility and chapel have always been the envy of Catholic college groups across the state, and through the generosity of an alum, we recently embarked on a $100,000 chapel renovation project. We plan to remodel the kitchen, add new doors, a path linking us to the Harris Village residence halls, a porch and a bell tower! We have started an extraordinary form Latin Mass, and our choir, directed by the music director here at Florida Tech, is the best in the South. All of this on top of the ordinary events that we hold—the daily and Sunday Masses, Bible studies, instructions, weddings and baptisms, and the weekly spaghetti dinners that have never been better prepared (thanks to the cooks) or better attended. We have a large group of students connected with our local foster grandparents who can guide them in the faith and through natural disasters as well!

All of these programs are thanks in large part to the success of the 25 Week Club! But I’m worried. Our endowment is down one third or more. Last year our contributions were down as well. Many local parishes and campus ministry centers around the country have been forced to cut back or even close their doors. We are just getting NEW doors, they can’t be closed now!

Please participate in our 25 WEEK CLUB. It is our version of “BINGO” or “LOTTO.” Here’s how the program works.

A donation of $25 per entry is requested, and you can have as many entries as you want. With each entry, you are eligible to participate in each of the 25 weekly drawings for three cash prizes. Weekly prizes of $25, $15 and $10 are awarded. Every fifth week the prizes are $100, $50 and $25. Tickets are drawn at the weekly spaghetti dinners, and you need not be present to win.

So for a donation of $1 a week, you get the chance to win $1,875!

The expense, prize money, printing and postage totals over $2,500. So the first 100 donations cover expenses only. Please sell some tickets to your friends, neighbors, enemies, council members … etc. Don’t forget grandparents and god-parents as well. If you run out of cards, just mail in the check, and we will fill out the cards in-house for you. We are most grateful for your generous support.
