Vocations

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying:
"Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here I am. Send me." (Is 6:8-9, NJB)

The Church Needs You! Have you ever considered becoming a Priest, Brother, or Sister? A Permanent Deacon? Working as a volunteer in service to God, His Church, and His people?

Jesus told His disciples, when asked what He did, to "Come and see." He invites us to look into our hearts, and listen to the still, small voice that challenges us to examine the call to follow Him in religious life, as a Diocesan priest or Deacon, or as a paid or volunteer Church worker.

For information on vocations, contact your parish priest, school chaplain, or a religious community that interests you. Many communities, and some dioceses, have Web sites.

Information on vocations may also be found on the World Wide Web at various locations.

In the mean time, pray to understand Gods call in your life, whether it be to be single, married, a priest, or religious. For the harvest is ready, but the workers are few. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest that He may send willing workers.

The Lord has sworn, and He will not repent: "You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek. " (NAB, Ps 110:4)
