Joel Olson: Incorporation of Classroom Demonstrations into Freshman Chemistry Courses

The goal of this project was to  develop an efficient system to implement in-class chemistry demonstrations. As a result, FIT now comes closer to providing the sort of quality classroom experience that is normally attained only at much larger institutions.

Monica Baloga: Promoting Advance Preparation in the Chemistry Labs

By using a “learning site” on-line, students can now read through “enhanced” lab experiments. When faced with new theories or procedures, students select associated links within the text that lead to tutorials or videos designed to facilitate their understanding of the material. This project has facilitated the dissemination of lab materials and the explanation of lab concepts and techniques.
