Proposal Guidelines
Based on the formal FSI projects of the past, it's clear that a wide range of proposals were accepted. While many FSI proposals had a strong technology or creative component, this years applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that focus on issues of diversity in the classroom. Diversity issues might include diverse teaching and learning styles, diverse student populations (international, distance learners, minorities). Specifically, we are interested in creative ideas to improve teaching and learning by focusing on diversity in the classroom.
The specific format for submitting proposals includes answers to three questions: (1) What do you plan to do?, (2) In what ways do you intend to incorporate diversity in your project?, and (3) How will the activity help benefit your professional development as a faculty member?
Submit proposals as a Word or rtf attachment either to Wade Shaw ( wshaw@fit.edu ) or to Carol Shehadeh ( shehadeh@fit.edu ) before February 1, 2005
As indicated above, this year we expect faculty to focus on diversity in the classroom -- and to develop creative ideas to improve teaching and learning.
With that in mind, the following is a listing of the accepted proposals from last year:
