Program Structure

After your arrival, your reading, writing, grammar and conversation skills will be tested. You will be assigned to the level most appropriate for your skills.

Your program is structured in 12 levels, 101-103 (Beginning), 104-106 (Intermediate), 107-109 (Advanced) and 110-112 (Masters Levels). Students in adjacent levels may be combined in some or all core classes. When this occurs, each student is tracked and evaluated according to his/her level in the program.

Each level is composed of a four-week session. A typical student can expect to progress from Beginning to Intermediate, Intermediate to Advanced, or Advanced to Masters in three four-week sessions.

Certificates are awarded upon departure. The certificates will specify the type of program, dates of attendance and the highest level attained.

The ELS Language Centers program uses creative learning activities to improve your ability to communicate in English. Rather than memorize rules, you build fluency by applying the structures and functions of English to meaningful, practical situations.
