Environmental, health and safety education and training needs exist in virtually all departments at Florida Tech. The Office of Environmental and Regulatory Compliance is determined to ensure that the university satisfies that need.
When evaluating training needs, there are three primary, driving forces that determine the emphasis and direction that environmental health and safety training must take: regulatory requirements, the need to improve safety and health, and working conditions, as observed by departments and workers. With the help of each department, ERC will identify individuals needing mandatory training and refresher sessions.
Departments may also request additional safety or environmental training that they identify as necessary or beneficial to their operations and the Office of ERC will work with them to develop or deliver training sessions that fulfill their needs.
