Financing Out-of-Pocket Expenses

Pay by the Semester

For a two-semester academic year, use the 1-2-3 work sheet to help calculate your net billable expense. Divide the annual amount by two and pay before the published semester due date.

Florida Tech Panther Payment Plans

Florida Tech Panther Payment Plans enable you to spread out your payments for tuition and fees. We are using a new online payment application for Academic Year 2009-2010 and that has led to some changes from the 2008-2009 payment plans.

The Touchnet Student Account Center (SAC) will enable students to authorize a parent or other person to access their account information and make payments for them. Enrollment opened on July 21, 2009.

You can find more information about the plans for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 by clicking on Panther Payment Plan. You may also want to check out other information on the new Student Financial Services website which includes a Panther Payment Plan hyperlink in the left navigation panel.

Need to stretch expenses over a longer period?

The Federal PLUS Loan is one option for making the difference between available financial aid and estimated education costs and for stretching those expenses over a longer period of time. Parents of dependent undergraduate students, or graduate students themselves, may borrow up to the cost of education less the value of other financial aid awards. Plus Loans are based on the borrower's credit standing rather than on the student's financial need. For more information or to apply, see PLUS Loans.

Students may also qualify for private Alternative Educational Loans. These loans offer flexible repayment plans that may enable you to afford a quality education with managable monthly payments. Since they are more expensive than Federal Loans, we recommend you explore your options with a Financial Aid Counselor before applying for an alternative loan.
