Reminders

Dear Fraternities and Sororities,

With this semester now under way, remember to keep your priorities in good order.  This includes academics, family, friends, and your organization.  Do not let Fraternity and Sorority Life get in the way of your academics, but allow it to foster your progress.

National "Wear Red Day"
wearredday        Friday, February 1st is "Wear Red Day." This kicks off Alpha Phi's Cardiac Care Month. Heart disease is the leading killer of women, which is why it is important to do all we can to help. Please show your support for Cardiac Care by wearing red Friday, February 1, 2008.

Gamma Phi Beta Date Auction
yellow ribbon           On January 30th, 2008, the ladies of Gamma Phi Beta held their annual Date Auction in the Panthereum and the lucky high bidders won a date with a sister along with a gift certificate to a local restaurant. All profits from the event went toward the Delta Sigma chapter's local philanthropy, the Yellow Ribbon Project.

The Yellow Ribbon Project was founded around sending packages to the soldiers stationed overseas that contain some of the things they want or need and can't typically get. The philanthropy has received amazing campus-wide support and has been a successful endeavor since day one. So thank you to everyone who came out to support the cause, and especially to everyone who bought a date! Stay tuned for more Yellow Ribbon Project events coming this year!
