Course Registration

If your first semester at Florida Tech is the fall and you have 29 credits or less, you will be block registered by the Registrar’s office. Your block registration (aka your first semester schedule) is initially an automatic process that puts you into courses based on information that the university has received from you or on behalf of you. Therefore, it is incredibly important that the university receives all of your final and official transcripts, official AP/IB scores, and any other relevant material in a timely manner. You are encouraged to follow up with and verify that the university has received these documents to avoid issues down the road.

The block registration process begins mid-June and continues throughout the summer. Please be aware that the schedule you initially see may change throughout the summer. If you have questions about your schedule, are taking summer courses that would affect your fall semester courses, and/or believe you were placed in the wrong courses, please contact your advisor so that you can initiate the process of adjusting your schedule.

If your first semester at Florida Tech is the fall and you have 30 credits or more, you will contact your major department to register for courses.

If your first semester at Florida Tech is either the spring or the summer, you will contact FYE if you have less than 30 credits or contact your major department if you have more than 30 credits.
