Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society



Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society that encourages and rewards academic excellence among first year college students. Founded at the University of Illinois in 1923, it is the nation's oldest and largest honor society for first-year college and university students in all disciplines.

To be eligible to join, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a 3.5 cumulative GPA at the end of your freshman fall or spring semester at Florida Tech
  • Enrolled as a fulltime student (at least 12 credit hours)
  • Receive an invitation, complete the membership application and pay the one time induction fee
  • You will be a member of Phi Eta Sigma and will be inducted at the next ceremony after you submit the application and pay your induction fee
