CISSP Certification Review and Preparation Course


BEMA ServicesFlorida Institute of Technology, in partnership with BEMA Services, is offering a five-day training program for those who desire CISSP certification. Information Technology security professionals from industry and government will be your instructors guiding you through the objectives for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification. This certification has been recognized by the Department of Defense as a baseline qualification for duties at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level III and Information Assurance Management (IAM) level II & III.

Learning Objectives:

1. Successfully review and prepare for the CISSP Certification based on the (ISC)2 CBK.
2. Analyze the key security concepts for logical and physical data protection.
3. Learn best practices in hardening internal and internetwork systems
4. Examine the core essentials of network security including structure and transmission methods.
5. Explore the cryptography principles, means and methods of encrypting sensitive information.
6. Assess business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the safeguarding of business operations.
7. Effectively monitor the access control mechanisms that create an effective security architecture.

Who Should Attend:

Security Engineers, Security Managers, Network Security Managers, Information Assurance Officers Level III, Information Assurance Managers Level II & II

Prerequisites and Additional Information:

This is an intermediate level program with no advanced preparation needed and provides up to 35 CPE credits.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in at least one of the (ISC)2 CBK domains or you can pursue “Associate” level CISSP.
  • Day to day technical information security experience.
  • Good experience and knowledge of information security methods, standards and implementation.
  • Recommended you currently hold Security+ or SSCP.
