Who Can Utilize the Health Center?
All Students, Staff, Faculty, and those associated with Florida Tech are welcome to utilize the services of the Health Center. We are a Walk in Urgent Care, operated by Premier Urgent Care of Melbourne. We are trained and experienced nurse practitioners and physicians that are equipped to provide examination, treatment and minor procedures as needed.There is NO CHARGE for office visits for Florida Tech matriculating registered students regardless of insurance when seen at the Holzer Health Center, however, any labs, diagnostic tests, annual/routine exams, x-rays, supplies or procedures will be billed to your insurance provided or directly to you.Questions? email@example.com
Other FIT associates, please bring your health insurance and ID, or call ahead for information on charges.Your copay will be collected and insurance will be billed for services. Those without insurance or out of country insurance can be seen for Urgent Care needs, call or come in for information on fees.
Health Center Hours
Temporary Change in hours November 21, 2016 to January 6, 2017: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, last patient sign in by 4:30
Will revert to normal hours on January 9, 2017: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 8:00PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Fall and Spring Semesters. Winter and Spring break 8 to 5 Monday through Friday.
Summer Semester, 9:00AM to 3:00PM. We are closed all Saturday's and Sunday's and School Holidays.
After Hours Help
If you are ill and the clinic is closed, we encourage the use of the off-campus Urgent Care associated with the school, Premier Urgent Care at 321-242-7425, 6300 N. Wickham Road, Suite 101, Melbourne, FL, 32940, where certain accommodations are made for students. They are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 5pm.

When they are closed, or if you choose, you can go to any local urgent care in your insurance network or see our Urgent Care List for those with Student Health Insurance. Students may call the SHC at 321-674-8078 for instructions on contacting a medical employee on call. Please be prepared with objective information to give to the provider: your symptoms, duration of illness, temperature, current medications or other health problems.If medications or urgent care is needed the provider will refer you to the appropriate medical center (they will not order or refill medications.) Please follow-up with the SHC on the next business day to inform them of your illness. We may be able to facilitate referrals or provide other medical assistance.

Questions about your health? Worried you may have a health problem? Come to the health center for a confidential discussion with one of our NP Providers. We are your center for information on local support and social services and will be happy to help you find the assistance you need if it cannot be provided at the Health Center.

The on-campus Holzer Health Center, is located at 2976 Country Club Road, which is on the corner of Country Club Road & University Boulevard, next door to the main student parking lot.

Are you being sexually harrassed or abused?
Please come in for a confidential appointment with one of our compassionate nurse practitioners. You have the right to study and live in a safe environment free from sexual harassment. We can talk with you about your situation and help make it right! The Health Center can provide Urgent Care services during normal operating hours, however, after hours for Sexual Assault please call the Sexual Assault Victim Services (SAVS) 24-hour hotline at 321-784-HELP (4357). SAVS is a certified rape crisis program who can provide free and confidential support and advocacy services to sexual assault victims and their loved ones. They can provide guidance for victims of sexual assault, information and referral to community and counseling resources, and the performance of forensic exams.
