Florida Tech is committed to assisting you
in a successful and healthy college career.
One way to do that is by providing easily
accessible health care and health insurance
on campus. As a student, you have certain
rights and responsibilities, and it is important
that you fully understand them.
Your rights:
- To be treated in a manner that respects your privacy and
dignity as a person.
- To receive assistance and care in a prompt, courteous
and responsible manner.
- To be provided with information about your health care
benefits, any exclusions and limitations such as emergency,
urgent, or routine care associated with the plan, and any
charges that you will be responsible for.
Your responsibilities:
- All students are responsible for learning how their healthcare
services work by carefully studying and referring to your
benefit materials.
- Appointments are strongly encouraged. Students with appointments
will be seen first unless your condition is an emergency.
Non-emergency walk-ins will never be turned away, however,
if the clinic is full, the patient may be offered an appointment
at a convenient time due to an extended wait period.
