Visiting Florida Tech & The Melbourne Area
Florida Tech is located in Melbourne on the east coast of Central Florida. The campus is minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean and only an hour drive away from the Kennedy Space Center, Walt Disney World, and many other Central Florida attractions.
If you are planning a visit to Florida Tech, you can choose either the Melbourne International Airport, which is most convenient, or the Orlando International Airport which is located about one hour away. The Orlando International Airport has a much greater selection of schedules and airlines.
Driving Directions
From Orlando International Airport
- When leaving the airport, take Highway 528 east (called the Beeline/Beachline) and follow signs towards Cape Canaveral.
- Follow Highway 528 east to I-95 southbound.
- Take I-95 south to exit 180.
- Take exit 180 for U.S. Hwy. 192 (New Haven Ave.) and go east to Country Club Road (approximately five miles) just past the Golf Course. There is a sign at Country Club Road that directs you to Central Baptist Church. Turn right at Country Club Road and continue to the main campus (approximately one half mile). From Melbourne International Airport
- Turn east (left) on NASA Boulevard and continue one block to Airport Blvd. Turn south (right) onto Airport Blvd and continue approximately three miles to U.S. 192 (New Haven Ave.).Turn left (one block) to Country Club Road and turn right on Country Club Road and continue to the main campus (approximately one half mile). From Country Club Road
- Turn left off of Country Club Road at the Florida Tech Administration sign and proceed to the visitors parking area straight ahead, in front of the Miller Building. If there is no visitors parking spots available, park in the large parking lot across the street.
