Summer Camp Employment for Students, Staff and Volunteers

Welcome to our Summer Camp website!

This site is provided as an information resource for our Summer Camp Employees (student and non-student) and Volunteers. You will find information regarding Summer Camp employment opportunities, background screening procedures, forms, and much more.

Volunteer (Unpaid)

Many departments offer volunteer opportunities during their summer camp programs. As a university we support this activity, but it is critical that we track our summer camp volunteers.

 

In order to volunteer please follow the steps below:

 

STEP 1:

Complete Guest/Volunteer Role form and return to desired department

Step 2:

Bring or mail the following documents below to the Office of Human Resources

Step 3:

Candidates who have not previously completed a Level II background screening, should plan to attend the Bridges Mobile Unit on 4/20/17

Step 4:

The Office of Human Resources will notify you if any additional steps are required

Non-Student, Temporary Employee (Staff)

For an individual to be a non-student (Temporary Staff) employee, potential candidates must complete the following steps:

STEP 1:

Complete an Application for desired position

Step 2:

Upon departmental selection, the following forms must be completed and submitted to the Office of Human Resouces:

Step 3:

Candidates who have not previously completed a Level II background screening, should plan to attend the Bridges Mobile Unit on 4/20/17

Step 4:

The Office of Human Resources will notify you if any additional steps are required

Step 5: (International employees only):

Complete the process to obtain a Social Security Number: What to do

Student Employment (enrolled at FIT)

To hold "Student Employment" you must be currently enrolled as a student at Florida Institute of Technology or registered to be a student for the upcoming semester.

To be considered for Student Employment in the FIT Summer Camps, you must complete the following steps:

STEP 1:

Complete and submit the following forms to the Office of Human Resouces:

Step 2:

Candidates who have not previously completed a Level II background screening, should plan to attend the Bridges Mobile Unit on 4/20/17

Step 3:

The Office of Human Resources will notify you if any additional steps are required
