WAC - Web Advisory WAC

Present: Carolyn Farrior, Judi Marino, Kate Shelton, Judi Tintera, Jay Wilson, and Dee Dee Pannell, chair.

Absent: Marco Radmilac, Wade Shaw, and Matt Wood

Dee Dee welcomed Dr. Donald Dement as a guest to the committee.

Minutes

Were read and approved.

Guidelines

Dee Dee will request approval from the ACITC and ADITC committees for the Guidelines. Donald reviewed unit first pages in respect to the 50K recommended size and reported that most pages exceeded the limit.

It was decided that:

1.       Departments should not be required to register their pages

2.       Every unit should have a contact person

3.       Pages should be reviewed annually. A reminder could be sent to the contact person to review pages and update as required.

Old Business

There has been no feed back yet from the university regarding credit card transactions. Both the Controller's Office and the Registrar's Office are looking into this issue. WFIT has been set up for taking pledges temporarily.

New Business

Judy Tintera distributed a “content” form of the new Home Page and asked committee members to review the information and to bring their ideas to the next meeting for a working session.

A request for hosting the Melbourne Chamber Music Society web pages was turned down. The committee felt the resources should be limited to Florida Tech activities.
