Florida Institute of Technology
High Tech with a Human Touch
The purpose of the International Speakers Forum is to share the cultural diversity of Florida Tech’s student population by educating the local community about different nationalities around the world, This is accomplished through student presentations given at schools, churches and civic organizations. These presentations may include lectures, multi-media programs, demonstrations and/or performances.
Educating others about culture helps promote intercultural understanding and awareness. The rewards of educating others about a
different culture are immeasurable. In
addition Florida
Tech students will be provided the opportunity to increase their professional development through public speaking and conversational
English.
Students who are interested in participating in the International Speakers Forum should complete a International Speaker Participant Application Form, and submit to the ISP Coordinator, Cindy Dubey at cdubey@fit.edu.
Awards will be granted to ISP participants based on feedback provided by the local school, church or civic organization. The award is one-time only.
