MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech’s WFIT 89.5 FM and the Melbourne-Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce present Jazz at the Panthereum on Sunday, May 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. The event will be held in Florida Tech’s outdoor Panthereum.
The concert will feature upright bassist Ron Pirtle with Ron Teixeira on keyboard, and Paul Polanski and Brad Baker on saxophone, as well as a drummer. Pirtle, in and out of the quintet, is a well-known, in-demand performer in Brevard County. He leads in the Sunday night jazz jam at Heidi’s in Cocoa Beach and on Monday nights at the Galaxy Grill in Indialantic.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to the Panthereum, located on Country Club Road, near the Denius Student Center. A vendor will be available for drinks and snacks.
