Florida Tech Humanities Lecture: U.S. Malaria Expert to Speak April 7

MELBOURNE, FLA. — As part of Florida Institute of Technology’s Spring Humanities Lecture Series, Michael MacDonald, President’s Malaria Initiative representative, will speak at the university. The presentation, on April 7 at 7 p.m., is open and free to the public.

MacDonald, also a malaria adviser at the U.S. Agency for International Development, will discuss the recent successes in the struggle against malaria.

His lecture is part of the Department of Humanities and Communications’ ongoing “Our Brothers’ Keeper” effort, an outgrowth of the efforts of Florida Tech trustees Ed Scott and Jim Thomas to spread awareness of the global challenges we face in the 21st Century.
