MELBOURNE, FLA. — On Aug. 6, from noon to 7 p.m., the Clemente Center at Florida Institute of Technology will be the site of the second annual Space Coast Women’s Business Expo. The expo offers the opportunity to enhance marketing skills, work on image improvement and learn more about local businesses and services. The free event is open to all men and women.
The expo originated from a collaboration of the Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech and the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). The event is sponsored by Florida Tech, Hip Chicks of Brevard, Brevard County Women newspaper, Spotlight magazine, Affordable Graphic Solutions, Signman Inc. and Personal Video Productions.
Donn E. Miller-Kermani, director of the Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech, is an event organizer. “Our goal is to provide entrepreneurs of all sizes of enterprises with a means to show their products and services. We’ll also offer engaging seminars and workshops to help small businesses and individuals to better themselves,” she said.
The event is also a showcase for vendors to demonstrate their products and services while learning valuable marketing and image-enhancing skills. Presentation topics include marketing, social media, strategic marketing, image, inspiration, and other related topics.
The keynote speaker will be Jeff Piersall of Space Coast Media. Other speakers include Sue Tyson-Parker of Florida Today, Jean Newell of Newco Enterprises, Donna Anselmo from BOLD Marketing Solutions, Edna Patten from Impacting Presence, and Tiffany Kaharick, published author and health professional. A panel of local business people will discuss marketing. Their areas of expertise include social media, print media, websites, image, and video communications. An additional panel will focus on the inspirational aspect of business.
