Leading Medical Association Welcomes Florida Tech Scott Center to Annual Medical Conference Nov. 23

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Brevard Indo-American Medical and Dental Association (BIMDA) welcomes The Scott Center for Autism Treatment as the designated charity exhibitor at its annual medical conference Nov. 23. The conference will be held at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

BIMDA is Florida's leading Indian Medical Association and recognized as Florida Today's Volunteer Organization of the Year for its outstanding community service and involvement. Glad Kurian is BIMDA's honorary executive director and co-founder and a supporter of The Scott Center.

Founder of BIMDA and pediatrician Dr. Mahesh Soni said, “Autism is a common disorder in early childhood. A comprehensive evaluation and therapy at an early stage can significantly enhance the prognosis and development of the child.”

BIMDA President Dr. N. Rao Kopuri said, "BIMDA is pleased to welcome Florida Tech's Scott Center for Autism Treatment at our annual medical conference. We encourage all our members and friends to strongly support The Scott Center in its signature fundraiser event, Evening of Hope VI: Night of Wishes.” It will be held at the riverfront home of Mike and Rashmi Shah

April 5, 2014.

An Evening of Hope is the annual fundraising gala to support the center and to raise much needed scholarship and subsidy money. Mike Shah is a member of the Florida Tech Panthers Football Founders Club and a BIMDA community member.
