Being a member of a student organization enriches your years at Florida Tech in many
ways. The good friends and good times help you deal with the sometimes overwhelming
demands of college life. Student organizations also give you opportunities to explore
new interests, develop skills, enhance your academic program, and have an impact on
the college community. A college education involves learning about a wide range of
subjects. Not all of your learning will be done in labs and lectures. Other activities—such
as attending a musical production in Gleason Performing Arts Center or dancing the
night away at a concert sponsored by the Campus Activities Board—provide the
opportunities to learn things you won’t study in classrooms. Joining a club or being
elected to Student Government can also provide important educational experiences.
If you participate, Florida Tech will soon feel like home and your education will be
more diverse.
