Endorsement from an Astronaut--see what the experts are saying!

  • Newly instituted ICAO language standards require the aviation industry to implement English language testing and training strategies ASAP.
    • Predicament: The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has mandated new aviation standards of English proficiency for pilots, flight crew members and air traffic controllers in March 2011. If you aren't certified you don't fly...period!
    • Solution: Florida Institute of Technology and AET's Aviation English Program (Blended learning-online and onsite).
  • Without a doubt, communication is a major safety issue for the aviation industry. All international pilots and air traffic controllers must be assessed for licensing purposes, and meet the approved ICAO standard by 2011.
