Onsite Schedule

This 35 hour program is designed to satisfy the 35-hour formal project management training requirement by PMI necessary for PMP® certification. Florida Tech offers a variety of courses on-site as well as online for individuals to choose from. Florida Tech also offers an online format and can also customize on-site courses to meet students and organization's needs.

Master of Science in Project Management

Are you interested in Florida Tech's Master of Science in Project Management degree program?

The M.S. in project management is taught in a traditional classroom setting at any one of our 10 off-campus sites or through our Virtual Campus for those looking for a distance learning program. Contact the Extended Studies Division for details.

Onsite PMP® Exam Prep Training

Each of our onsite program offerings provide the following benefits:

  • Extended Study Time: Receive course materials prior to the 4 Day Rapid Course with Optional 1/2 Day, when registration is completed 14 days prior to course start date.
  • Application Assistance: The first class includes understanding and completing of the PMP® exam application.
  • Passing the Exam: Comprehensive instruction that is focused on the information needed to pass the current version of the PMP® examination.
  • Test Readiness: Receive personal "test readiness barometer". Based on individual performation of a simulated PMP® practice exam.
  • Refinement: An additional 1/2 day session is available to discuss test strategies based on individual strengths.

4 Day Rapid Course With Optional 1/2 Day Test Review

Provides an accelerated, intense learning experience that includes 4 days of consecutive training with an optional 1/2 day*.

Online Project Management Preparation

In this program, you’ll master the skills you need to get started in project management or take your career to the next level. Mark Laposky

4 Weeks Course featuring 5 Meetings

Mark Laposky

After spending the majority of his 30-year career on the Space Shuttle Program, Mr. Laposky founded Space Age Projects, LLC to develop and deliver training materials that cover all aspects of project management. While at Kennedy Space Center, Mr. Laposky supported NASA in numerous capacities that included program/project management for the design and construction of space vehicle processing and launch facilities. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the NASA Exceptional Public Service Medal in 2007.

Mr. Laposky has a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of South Florida and an MS degree in engineering management from University of Florida. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and a Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)® in MS Project. He is currently the Certification Director for the local PMI® Space Coast Chapter.

During the past 10 years, Mr. Laposky has contributed to the development and delivery of a 3-day Project Management best practices workshop for United Space Alliance, which he has taught over 25 times. Mr. Laposky applied his project management expertise to develop a successful PMP Certification Exam Preparation workshop which he has delivered to over 160 managers and engineers on Florida’s Space Coast.

Nikki Choyce, PMP®

Nikki Choyce, PMP®, is a seasoned project management practitioner with more than 15 years of experience as a consultant and instructor in the field of project management. She is the president of Infotech Management, a Fort Worth-based project management services firm. In addition to her work responsibilities, she is an active volunteer with the Project Management Institute (PMI), currently serving as an officer in the local PMI chapter.

Frank Greenwood

Frank Greenwood has managed projects for many years in North America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Author of Meeting the Challenges of Project Management and a certified project management professional, he's listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Science and Engineering.

Following a stint in the international oil business, Frank earned a Ph.D. from UCLA and eased into academia. As a professor and computer center director, he's authored or co-authored eight books and many published articles. Married, with three grown children, he and his wife live near Detroit, Michigan.

Erica Kirwan, PMP®

Erica Kirwan, PMP®, currently works for a Fortune 200 Financial Services company as a senior project manager implementing technological and operational projects. She has more than seven years of experience in process and project management methodologies and holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems.

What is the Refund Policy?

A student who has paid for a course and withdraws prior to the start date of the course will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a $150.00 cancellation fee. There are no refunds given one week prior to the course start date.
