Master of Science in Project Management

Are you interested in Florida Tech's Master of Science in Project Management degree program?

The M.S. in project management is taught in a traditional classroom setting at any one of our 10 off-campus sites or through our Virtual Campus for those looking for a distance learning program. Contact the Extended Studies Division for details.

4, 1/2 Day Course Over 4 Week Period

4 1/2 days spread out over a 4 week period.

This workshop begins on a Saturday with a ½ day session that provides participants with the information needed to complete and submit the test application prior to the next workshop session.
13 days later, on a Thursday, starts three-consecutive days of intensive training that includes a comprehensive review of the PMBOK® Guide book with an emphasis on PMP exam requirements and culminates with a ‘take-home’ test.

Approximately one week later, the workshop concludes with a review of ‘take-home’ test questions, the answers and your individual ‘test-readiness barometer.’

Bob Trader

Bob completed 20 plus years of Naval Service and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (W3). He earned his Master Training Specialist Certification while on active duty and completed the Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certification in 1999. Bob completed his MBA from Troy State University in 1994. He received his PMI, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification in August 2005. He currently supports various government agencies as a senior management consultant.

Frank Greenwood

Frank Greenwood has managed projects for many years in North America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Author of Meeting the Challenges of Project Management and a certified project management professional, he's listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Science and Engineering.

Following a stint in the international oil business, Frank earned a Ph.D. from UCLA and eased into academia. Mark Laposky

After spending the majority of his 30-year career on the Space Shuttle Program, Mr. Laposky founded Space Age Projects, LLC to develop and deliver training materials that cover all aspects of project management. While at Kennedy Space Center, Mr. Laposky supported NASA in numerous capacities that included program/project management for the design and construction of space vehicle processing and launch facilities. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the NASA Exceptional Public Service Medal in 2007.

Mr. Laposky has a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of South Florida and an MS degree in engineering management from University of Florida. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and a Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)® in MS Project. He is currently the Certification Director for the local PMI® Space Coast Chapter.

During the past 10 years, Mr. Laposky has contributed to the development and delivery of a 3-day Project Management best practices workshop for United Space Alliance, which he has taught over 25 times. Mr. Laposky applied his project management expertise to develop a successful PMP Certification Exam Preparation workshop which he has delivered to over 160 managers and engineers on Florida’s Space Coast.

Nikki Choyce, PMP®, is a seasoned project management practitioner with more than 15 years of experience as a consultant and instructor in the field of project management. She is the president of Infotech Management, a Fort Worth-based project management services firm. In addition to her work responsibilities, she is an active volunteer with the Project Management Institute (PMI), currently serving as an officer in the local PMI chapter.

What is the Refund Policy?

A student who has paid for a course and withdraws prior to the start date of the course will receive a refund of any course fees paid, less a $150.00 cancellation fee. There are no refunds given one week prior to the course start date.
