Business Administration Internships
Business Case Analysis Puts Classroom Knowledge to Work
There's no better way to learn about the field of business administration than to become a part of it. Our students have this opportunity in the form of business administration internships at a variety of companies and organizations, including:
- Space Coast Credit Union
- Merrill Lynch
- State Farm
These business administration internships are a valuable asset for students looking to get their foot in the door in the business industries that will later provide them with careers.
Take Part in a Comprehensive Business Practicum
Florida Tech business administration students also take part in a comprehensive business practicum that allows them to perform a "live case analysis" on a business of their choosing. The major field practicum links academics and business practices in the workplace by combining business administration internships with roundtable discussions, weekly summary reports and presentations.
Some of these businesses include:
- Northrop Grumman
- Clear Channel Outdoor
- Kennedy Space Center
This thorough analysis provides students an opportunity to better learn about the field of business administration.
Join the Student Business Incubator
Students who showcase innovative business ideas may be asked to join the Student Business Incubator. This program provides necessary resources and guidance to nurture student business ideas into real business ventures. Through critical thinking and innovation, students have the chance to experience business outside of the classroom and business administration internships.
Participate in a Wide Variety of Projects and Studies
Business administration students at Florida Tech have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of projects and studies. Many of these efforts are later entered into national competitions! Some competitions our students have recently participated in are:
- Honda CRZ Social Marketing Challenge
- Cadillac Case Competition
- Florida National Guard Promotion Campaign
- Management Case Competition
- Chevrolet Ad Campaign
These student projects and competitions allow business administration majors to excel outside the classroom and make connections with potential future employers to obtain business administration internships and careers.
Make Contacts in a Club or Organization
Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that seeks to recognize academic excellence and forge connections between business students around the world. By creating networking opportunities for business administration internships during college, and careers after college, these clubs and organizations give students another outlet for opportunity.
