A business administration degree is a valuable commodity in any business environment–public or private, for-profit or nonprofit, large or small. If you're interested in fostering ethical decision-making and becoming a leader that makes thoughtful decisions, sets high standards and promotes corporate accountability, then any number of careers in leadership and social responsibility are for you.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, provides detailed information about hundreds of leadership careers, entry-level education, overall working environment and employment prospects.
According to the bureau, employment among managers in finance and international business will continue to grow as the economy grows, and as more companies expand their businesses abroad.
One of the most desirable leadership careers is that occupied by management analysts. The Bureau estimates that employment for management analysts is expected to grow 22% between 2010 and 2020. Much of the growth is a result of U.S. organizations expanding their businesses abroad. These companies need professionals with the skills necessary to develop successful strategies for competing in the international arena.
Large organizations may have several layers of administrative managers who specialize in different areas such as operations, IT, finance and accounting, marketing, facilities and sales. As companies become more sophisticated and implement different employee and business initiatives, social responsibility is a new area that demands skilled business managers.
