BS - International Business
What is an International Business degree?
Business today crosses boundaries and spans the globe, making International Business degree at Florida Tech the perfect choice for students interested in worldwide commerce. Students study the relationship between business and globalization, completing language courses and a summer study-abroad semester between their junior and senior years. Graduates are prepared to navigate the borderless world of 21st century business

Learning
Clubs and Organizations: Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM),Delta Mu Delta,Collegiate Entrepreneurs,International Business Club
Research: Faculty/student research papers have been presented at conferences including the Industrial Engineering and Management Systems Conference in Cocoa Beach, Fla., and the IAPAD conference in Orlando, Fla. Six students participated in a faculty research inquiry for a Ron Jon Surf Shop grant. Marketing Principles students conducted primary research for the Florida National Guard and organized an event that garnered 1.25 million impressions for the client.
Internships and Cooperative Learning: The International Business degree program includes a mandated summer study-abroad semester between the junior and senior years, two full semsters of language and the option of a summer-abroad international business practicum in the semester after graduation.
Future Outcomes
Outcomes - Grad School: After graduation, International Business degree majors and all College of Business students have an excellent background in the business and management fields and can directly enter the job market, in commerce, industry, government or other areas. Many students wish to continue into graduate school or enter one of the professional fields such as law, where t hey will have had an excellent undergraduate preparation. A number of our International Business degree graduates attend graduate school. In addition to continuing their studies at Florida Tech, recent graduates have attended the University of Central Florida, George Mason University, Pennsylvania State University, Stetson Law School and the University of Miami.

The Bachelor of Science in International Business program emphasizes the globalization of commerce and provides students with the global skills necessary for success in the borderless world of 21st century business. The program includes a mandated summer study-abroad semester between the junior and senior years, two full semesters of language, and the option of a summer-abroad international business practicum in the semester after graduation.
Students entering the international business program will be classified as pre-international business until such time as they earn a cumulative GPA of 2.75 for a minimum of 60 credit hours (15 credit hours earned at Florida Tech for transfer students with an associate degree or equivalent). Students without a 2.75 GPA by the second semester of the junior year (15 credit hours for transfer students with an associate degree or equivalent) will be transferred to the business administration degree program.
Candidates for the Bachelor of Science in International Business must complete the minimum course requirements as outlined in the following curriculum.
