Undergraduate Program Information
Welcome, Prospective Student
Welcome to Florida Tech! Where you can pursue your passion...for practically anything.
BS - Sports Management
What is a Sports Management degree?
Whether you want to be a team manager, athletic program director, or a sports information specialist, you can get there with a sports management degree from Florida Tech. Here, you'll develop a strong background in leadership and get hands-on experience in modern management strategies and sports industry best practices.
Our program is dynamic yet focused. You'll get started right away, taking core courses like Intro to Sports Management and Sports Psychology as a freshman. Guided by highly qualified faculty who care about your success, you'll hone your strengths and begin specializing as early as sophomore year.
Beyond the classroom, sports management majors build leadership experience through exciting internships and participation in academic organizations like Delta Mu Delta (national business society), the Society for Advancement of Management, athletics, and over 100 other student organizations.
As a senior, you'll complete the practicum in business, a professional internship course in which you apply your sports management skills and savvy within a dynamic local company. As a result, you get practical experience, an expanded professional network, and perhaps even a pre-graduation job offer.
Employers that have recruited Florida Tech sports management degree students for internships and careers include Clear Channel Communications, Merrill Lynch, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the Boston Red Sox. Many business administration majors go onto graduate school (often at Florida Tech) to pursue their MBA.
