Guillermo Baldi
is our fins project leader; He is a senior in Aerospace
Engineering originally from Mendoza, Argentina, but considers
himself a citizen of the world. G is the Vice President of the
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and member of
Student Ambassadors. When he is not studying, he enjoys chatting
with friends over coffee, watching movies, swimming, reading,
bicycling, and going out to pubs or bars to chill out. Gulliermo
would like a master’s degree in Aerospace Structures and
eventually a Doctorate. He would like to work as a Structural
Engineer for a major aircraft company, but his dream job would be
in charge of designing the next generation space station.
Joe
Pearce is our
electrical project leader;
Joseph
Pearce is a sophomore double majoring in Computer and Electrical
Engineering originally from Ocala, FL. This is his second year on
the project as head of the CE and EE for the team. Outside of
class Joe is involved in the Brevard Old Red Eyes rugby team, a
member of IEEE, and working on an AAS in Business Administration
at the local community college. Joseph's dream job is to own and
research within an industry leading quantum computing firm. |

Each
team member has special qualifications that they will use to
ensure the success of this project. Each group
member will work in all areas, yet the people listed above will
be responsible for keeping the team on schedule in their specific
areas.
Leigh
Honeycutt
is our dart project leader;
Leigh Honeycutt is an
Aerospace Engineering senior originally from Texas. He's
currently a member of AIAA, ASME, and the varsity crew team at
Florida Tech. Outside of studying he loves to go on long runs,
play computer games, racquetball, draw, and go sculling when away
from school. In the future he wants to be head engineer of a
new space shuttle or manned mission to the moon or even Mars. |

Melissa Mikulec
is our booster project leader; she is an Aerospace Engineering
senior originally from Houston, Texas. She is the former
secretary of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and
currently the production manager for SERRA senior design. In her
free time she loves to line dance, water-ski, star gaze, and
enjoys her quiet times reading. She is pursing her private
pilot’s license and hopes to fly in January. Her ideal job would
be to work with propulsion and engines in an Aerospace Industry
or with NASCAR. |
Laura
Slovey
is our
Project Director; she is an Aerospace Engineering senior
currently from Macomb, Michigan. She is the former president of
Alpha Phi Omega (service organization)
and currently the Public Relations
Chair for ASME
(American Society of Mechanical Engineers). She is also an
active member of her sorority, Alpha Phi, as well as AIAA
(American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) and Order of
Omega (Greek honor society). Laura spent this past summer
working on solid rocket motors for the space shuttle as part of
her internship with ATK Thiokol. When Laura is not hitting the
books, she enjoys playing intramural volleyball, doing community
service, and of course baking treats for her friends. Her ideal
job would be a Launch Specialist at the Kennedy Space Center.
