At most colleges, you'll spend two years taking core classes. At Florida Tech, we start you off in your major right away. That means you get a head start on all the fun stuff.
It also means you will be getting practical experience in your major while most other college students are just getting started in theirs!
Three public access computer labs and a library Applied Computing Center supplement many specialized academic unit labs. In the F.W. Olin Engineering Complex, Nokia wireless access provides a roaming footprint, enabling students with notebook computer receivers to access the Internet anywhere in the building.
Undergraduate and graduate students take part in research activities that support local and state efforts, including manatee preservation, beach erosion and sea turtle studies. Our outdoor labs also include local lakes, rivers, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Indian River Lagoonthe nation's most biodiverse estuary.
The John H. Evans Library is centrally located adjacent to the Learning Pavilion, which houses the Applied Computing Center, Academic Support Center and a teaching auditorium.
