Welcome to the Panther Access Web System (PAWS)

You’ve been assigned a TRACKS account username that is used in combination with a minimum eight-character password to access the Panther Access Web System (PAWS). Instructions for using PAWS are available on this Web site.

PAWS allows prospective and currently enrolled students to perform a number of administrative functions electronically.

Financial aid applicants can check their application status and awards online. Admission applicants can check their application status, view their financial aid award and pay their tuition and housing deposits from PAWS. Enrolled students can register, drop and add classes, and access personal information. Your final grades will be posted on PAWS at the end of each semester.

Your TRACKS information should not be shared with others. Allowing your parents(s), guardian(s) or sponsor(s) to have access to your demographic, financial and academic information through PAWS is a personal decision. Guidelines on the release of information from your educational records to others is available at FERPA.

For added security, Florida Tech has password requirements for TRACKS accounts. This affects all components of the TRACKS system (Windows and e-mail passwords, and access to various integrated systems). Your password must contain at least eight (8) characters and three different character classes.

You can use any combination of lowercase letters (a–z), uppercase letters (A–Z), numbers (0–9) and/or special characters (!,<,>,&, #, $, etc.).

International students should remember that computers not using English as the primary language may not recognize all special characters available on your Florida Tech computer.

Your TRACKS password expires after 120 days. Once it has expired, you’ll need to change to a new password using the same protocol of three of the four character groups (capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, special characters).

You’ll need to contact the Technology Support Center at (321) 674-7284 or at techsupport@fit.edu to have your password reset or to choose a new one after 120 days of use. You’ll be locked out of your account for 10 minutes if you fail to enter your correct password 10 times.

Florida Tech policy requires the use of Florida Tech e-mail addresses as the official University communication medium. Standardized e-mail allows for rapid communication to all students for official announcements.

New Melbourne campus students receive a limited-access TRACKS account when they are accepted to the university, and their @fit.edu e-mail accounts and full access to TRACKS on payment of their tuition deposit. Students are responsible for all communication from university administration, faculty and staff sent to your @fit.edu email address, and it’s important to check this address on a regular basis.
