Adaptation & Implementation of an Activity-Based Online or Hybrid Course in Software Testing

This project began with a very successful commercial course in software testing. In the first NSF grant, we brought the commercial material into academic courses and refined it based on what students actually learned. In 2004, we flipped the structure, putting lectures online and bringing labs and study-session discussions into the classroom. NSF funded the evolution of the project, with the goal of spreading the model to more schools and back to commercial use. We now have a mature set of 3 courses, widely taught. As of 2012, we're extending the model to new courses on high volume test automation and software metrics.
