Family Weekend 2010

Friday, February 26

Check-In and Registration

3-8 p.m. Denius Student Center

Families pick up tickets, t-shirts, campus maps and schedule of events

Conversations with the Dean

3:30-4:30 p.m. (Participating Colleges)

Meet the dean of your student's college; hear about current success and future goals for the school's programs.

Student Organization Showcase

4:30-6:30 p.m. Front of Denius Student Center

See displays from Florida Tech's active student clubs and organizations.  Representatives will be on hand to answer your questions.

Welcome BBQ

5-7 p.m. Panthereum

Enjoy a barbeque feast with your student. 

Comedian Adam Hunter

8 p.m. Gleason Performing Arts Center

Come see Comedian Adam Hunter's hilarious show in Gleason.  Adam was the runner-up on NBC's Last Comic Standing last year and the show is free to all FIT students and family weekend guests. 

Saturday, February 27

For families that couldn't make it to campus on Friday, you can pick up your tickets, t-shirts, campus maps and schedule of events.

Florida Tech's Amazing Race

10-11:30 a.m. Across Campus

Our version of the hit TV show - a scavenger hunt across campus where teams/families can compete for prizes. 

International Festival

Noon-5 p.m. Panther Plaza/Panthereum

Come to our annual celebration of cultural diversity hosted on campus where international student organizations and other groups host country and diversity themed booths.  They will display a variety of traditional wares, including maps, clothes, literature, and artifacts aimed at promoting cultural awareness.  Performances such as dance and song fill the afternoon with live entertainment.  Local restaurants and vendors sell a variety of ethnic food so come hungry! 

Dinner

6 p.m. (your choice)

Enjoy dinner in the Melbourne area and unwind with your student.

Beach Picnic

Noon Satellite Beach

Enjoy the beach with your student and join us for a cookout at Satellite Beach. 

Catholic Mass

11 a.m. and 6 p.m. All Faiths Center
