Meet the Vice President for Support Services

Joni Oglesby Dr. Joni Oglesby is the Vice President for Support Services and Title IX Coordinator at the Florida Institute of Technology.

Dr. Oglesby has a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University, a master's degree in Management, and a master's degree in Human Resource Development both from Webster University. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a certified Diversity Trainer. She is a past Diversity Advocate of her local Society for Human Resources Chapter (SBSHRM).

In addition to almost 25 years' experience in the field of human resources, Dr. Oglesby has quite an eclectic employment history including positions as diverse as a community college administrator to a crude oil trader, to a department store visual merchandising specialist where she won awards for her beautiful store windows.

Dr. Oglesby serves on numerous taskforces and committees at the Florida Institute of Technology and is very active in the community.  She is a past Chair for the Brevard County March of Dimes’ annual March for Babies event and is the United Way Employer Campaign Manager for the University. Serving on numerous boards, Dr. Oglesby’s community service includes being a member and board secretary of the board of directors for Serene Harbor, a domestic violence shelter. She is also a board member and vice chair of the board of directors for Bridges, an organization that advocates for and provides services for people with disabilities.
