Information for Admitted Freshmen

You've Been Admitted!  What Now?

Congratulations! You've been admitted. The tough part is over, but the process of attending college is just beginning. There are several things you need to do before you attend Florida Tech.

Your Checklist

  1. Apply For Financial Aid! To be considered for all types of financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA. You can get a copy from your high school's guidance office, or complete the online version: www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our Title IV code for the FAFSA is 001469. For priority financial aid consideration, it is best to complete the FAFSA by the end of February of your senior year.
  2. Carefully read over the information that accompanied your letter of admission. It contains important instructions for you to follow and forms that need to be completed before you enroll.
  3. All students who plan to attend Florida Tech must submit a $300 tuition deposit to reserve a place in the freshmen class. Aviation Majors Only: Students enrolled in a flight program must arrive with a current FAA/Student Pilot Class II medical certificate. You can locate an Aviation Medical Examiner in your area through the following FAA Web site: http://ame.cami.jccbi.gov
  4. Read all the mail you get from Florida Tech. We will be sending you important information and reminders throughout the year, so don't throw anything away!
  5. Be sure your high school sends your final transcript with your final grades and graduation date.
  6. Come to Orientation!
