Financial Aid
The key to financing your education is to start planning early and keep your options open. The more you know about how financial aid works, the better prepared you will be to pay for college.
There are many different programs available to help you cover the cost of higher education. Most Florida Tech students qualify for a combination of merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, educational loans, and school-year employment programs. Merit based scholarships are determined at time of admission.
How To Apply for Need Based Financial Aid
- Apply for admission to Florida Tech. Financial aid is only awarded to admitted, degree-seeking students.
- Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Full financial consideration will be given to students who apply before the priority deadline of March 1st. Request that a copy of your student aid report be sent to Florida Tech by listing our Title IV code on the FAFSA. Our Title IV code is 001469. Paper forms may be obtained at your local high school, community college or university after December 1.
At Florida Tech, over 80 percent of our students qualify for some sort of financial assistance. Your best source of information about these programs is the Office of Financial Aid. Financial Aid advisors are available to help you find the resources you need to meet your bottom line.
