Flying Start Summer Program 2008
How would you like to start your flight training early? Florida Institute of Technology’s new summer aviation program – Flying Start – gives you the opportunity to do just that.
Priority will go to new students who have enrolled in one of Florida Tech’s College of Aeronautics degree programs, but the program is open to all students who have submitted tuition and housing deposits for Fall 2008.
Flying Start flight training will put you in the cockpit during the summer prior to your full-time enrollment at Florida Tech’s renowned aviation center in beautiful Melbourne, Florida. The program runs from June 21 to Aug. 2, 2008 and offers these high-flying benefits:

Save approximately $5,000 in flight fees (over regular university flight courses)
-
Earn a Private Pilot License plus 5 semester credit hours (with no added tuition cost)
-
Get to know college life, the Florida Tech campus and the surrounding area before Fall orientation and full-time classes begin
-
Start the Fall in an accelerated, second-semester flight course
-
Conduct flight training in state of the art Piper Warrior aircraft
-
Have a fun and exciting summer flying the Florida sky!
The cost for Flying Start is $8,848, plus books ($250) and an aviation headset ($175-$300). Additional flight training beyond the scheduled curriculum is charged on a “pay as you fly” basis. Flying Start participants may choose to live on campus and participate in a meal plan for $1,782.
