Project Clean Sweep
An end to Florida Tech’s logo identity crisis

No Toothbrush LogosWhat is Clean Sweep?
An initiative to replace all uses of the old logo, aka “toothbrush”

Why now?
To strengthen Florida Tech’s internal communications and external image during The Golden Anniversary Campaign for Florida Tech and the 50th Anniversary celebration

This includes every application of the old logo:

  • administrative forms (e.g., Human Resources, Finance & Administration)
  • letterhead, business cards, envelopes and notecards
  • advertising
  • fax cover sheets and labels
  • fliers, postcards, brochures, posters, booklets and annual reports
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Web sites
  • video and other multimedia
  • banners, signage and vehicles

What’s in it for you?

Special prizes will be given out each month!

Once you identify a specific item with the old “toothbrush” logo, report your findings through our online form or submit our paper form via fax or campus mail for a chance to win great prizes. Paper forms are available in the UPUB office, the lobby of the Allen S. Henry building or by calling ext. 8963. At the end of each month, three of that month’s entries will be chosen at random to receive either:

  • a FREE LUNCH at Evans Dining
  • a PAIR OF MOVIE TICKETS to a local theatre
  • a 50th Anniversary COFFEE MUG

View the past entries and winners.

There is no limit to the number of items you can enter each month. So keep your eyes peeled! Entries must be received by UPUB no later than noon on the last business day of each month.

After each monthly prize drawing, a list of rogue logo discoveries will be posted on the Web site. Prizes will be awarded February–September 2008.

In September 2008, ALL participants* will be entered into a GRAND PRIZE DRAWING for a prize that is sure to please.

*Participants will be entered into the grand prize drawing only once, regardless of how many submissions they make during the course of the Clean Sweep campaign.

How can you help the university?
We need your eyes and ears to identify all of the old rogue logos still in circulation: signage, banners, Web sites, brochures and other print publications. Just report your findings by clicking the button below. (If you provide contact information, your name will be entered in a monthly prize drawing (see the list above), or you may provide the information anonymously and forego the drawing.)

How can the Office of University Publications (UPUB) help you?
We provide instruction on downloading and using the logos. We will review proofs for any materials produced by outside vendors to ensure correct usage of the graphic identity.

Support is also available from UPUB to update publications and department/office Web sites.

With advance scheduling, we will send a representative to department or special group meetings to provide guidance and answer questions on the Graphic Identity Policy.

For more information on the Clean Sweep program, contact the Office of University Publications at ext. 8963.
