The Office of University Publications has a limited number of staff members who produce more than 750 jobs each year. To be fair to all of our customers and continue to be responsive to university needs, we have had to modify our existing service policy.
The majority of UPUB services will remain free of charge to the university community, including creative print and Web design for brochures, fliers, posters, newsletters, advertisements, visual displays, Web content, T-shirts and other print or online projects.
However, beginning August 7, 2007, the Office of University Publications will be implementing a charge back system on rush jobs* and extensive alterations during the proofing cycle**.
The charge back system is being established to encourage customers to optimize their initial planning for events and design projects.
Rush jobs, projects which need to be completed in three (3) working days or less, and multiple proof cycles complicate production scheduling and compromise our ability to meet the needs of the entire university community.
