The Alumni House serves as the headquarters for the Office of Alumni Affairs, the Alumni Association and the Student Ambassadors. Featuring a large patio and surrounding lawn, this is a great gathering place for alumni, students and faculty. Events hosted at the Alumni House include barbecues, receptions, lectures and committee meetings.
Conveniently located in the Denius Student Center, the campus bookstore offers new and used textbooks, supplies, clothing, magazines, study guides, software and snacks. The store also carries a wide range of Florida Tech merchandise, including T-shirts, shorts, umbrellas and notebooks. The bookstore is open Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are posted.
From sandy uplands of pines and palmettos to a lush hammock of hardwoods, including oaks, maples, hickories and one of the largest collections of palms in the state, the 30-acre Florida Tech Botanical Garden is a picturesque natural retreat. Take a self-guided tour daily between 8 a.m. and sunset. Brochures are available in the Evans Library.
Home to the Florida Tech Panthers, NCAA Division II members and competitors in the Sunshine State Conference, this 58,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility includes: a varsity gym, intramural gym, large fitness center, aerobics room, multipurpose rooms, athletics offices and a food-service area. The fitness area features many options for strength training, cardiovascular conditioning and group fitness classes. With a seating capacity of 3,500, the center hosts the university’s commencement ceremonies and many community events.

The 65,000-square-foot Evans Library serves the campus and community with resources, including a microcomputer center, teaching auditorium, learning pavilion, more than 114,000 books, 228,000 government documents and an extensive collection of technical journals.
The LINK, an automated integrated library system with online public access catalog and interactive capabilities, provides e-gateways to multiple catalogs and citation databases, while CD-ROM workstations provide access to a variety of materials.
The Evans Library also hosts various art shows.
The F.W. Olin Engineering Complex, anchoring Florida Tech’s south campus, is the home of the College of Engineering. Made possible by a gift from the F.W. Olin Foundation, the complex houses the departments of chemical engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, electrical and computer engineering, computer sciences, civil engineering, and the engineering management program. The office of the college’s dean is on the third floor.
This remarkable building is the centerpiece for the study of biological sciences. It is home to some of Florida’s foremost scientists who are taking part in research covering a broad array of topics. Located next to the F.W. Olin Engineering Complex, on Florida Tech’s south campus, the building was made possible by a gift from the F.W. Olin Foundation.
This 69,348-square-foot facility features a rooftop Internet-accessible automated research telescope,
15 instructional telescopes, a geospace laboratory with a clean room for spacecraft instrumentation projects and a 3,500-square-foot high bay physics research hall for magnetic levitation launch systems and high energy physics research. The building provides 14 teaching and 21 research laboratories and houses the chemistry department, the physics and space sciences department, and the office for the College of Science dean and his staff.
The 500-seat W. Lansing Gleason Performing Arts Center is designed for stage plays, musical productions, scientific displays, lectures, seminars, camps and conferences. It is equipped with a complete control booth for professional stage productions, lighting and sound. The facility is equipped with both C- and KU-band digital satellite downlink services that can be incorporated into productions and viewed on a large screen.
