H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu)

The Food and Drug Administration has warned against online swine flu products that are making bogus claims to prevent or treat swine flu. They are flooding the Internet as scam artists prey on the public's fears while the vaccine is delayed and real Tamiflu is rationed. Sick Leave Policy

Please be aware that Florida Institute of Technology's paid sick leave is provided to protect employees from financial loss during times when they are unable to work because of sickness or injury. Sick leave may also be used for physician appointments and for attending to the needs of a member of  the employee’s immediate family as defined in the Procedure. Sick leave is not intended as vacation time nor should it be used for vacation purposes.
