Link Foundation Fellowships in Modeling, Simulation, and Training

Fellowships of $30,000 for 2020 Academic Year

Florida Tech's College of Aeronautics administers the Modeling, Simulation, and Training Fellowship for The Link Foundation.  The fellowship is awarded each year by a national competition. Application and more information can be found online at

Objectives of the Link Fellowship

  • Foster advanced-level research in areas related to modeling, simulation, and training
  • Enable Ph.D. students the freedom to work on their research full time
  • Disseminate the results of that research through conferences, journals and other publications

Doctoral Student Awards

Each year, the Link Foundation awards up to four fellowships to qualified doctoral students in academic institutions. Each grant awarded provides $30,000 to be used as a stipend while completing the doctoral degree. Fellows may apply for a second year of funding.

  • Enrollment in an established Ph.D. program at either a U.S. or Canadian academic institution
  • Full-time student working full time on dissertation research
Time Table
  • January 15: Applications due
  • March: Notification to applicants
  • July 1: Financial award sent to home institution
  • July 1 to June 30 the following year: Grant duration
  • September 30 following grant completion: Final Report to the Link Foundation
